| Dear PBSC,
As a new (and very happy)
distributor with Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, I just wanted to
let you know how my "new business" was progressing. First
let me start off with the training and placement of my espresso
machines. With much anticipation, my training days finally arrived.
Jim Humphrey arrived as scheduled and we reviewed our pre set appointments.
Jim was very knowledgeable about both the machines and how to approach
my potential accounts. The first day actually started out a little
slow, with several appointments but nothing set. Jim refused to
let me get discouraged, and on our last stop of the day we landed
our first account.
This wasn't a little account by any means. It
was an indoor/outdoor restaurant located in the heart of Palm Springs.
3 cases of expresso and a bottle of syrup and we were on our way.
Day 2 started out better then the first day. We talked with a lot
of potential accounts including several golf cours! e country clubs
and did our demonstrations. Several locations expressed interest
and have scheduled second appointments. We didn't set any machines
on day 2 (we could have) as we wanted to see all our appointments
to determine which would be the most profitable. Day 3 was huge.
We didn't place a machine at our first appointment but we didn't
miss the rest of the day. Our second appointment was a nice Italian
Restaurant in Palm Springs. Not only was the owner impressed with
our product, she referred us to another Italian Restaurant in a
neighboring city where we opened another account. With 3 machines
placed, we were now in high gear. Our next appointment was a neighborhood
cafe in a shopping center. The owner tried our product and was
up and running before we left. 4 down and 1 to go. Our next stop
was back in the heart of Palm Springs (they love espresso) at a
high end restaurant/bar. Jim decided i! t was a good place to demonstrate
just how good our product is mixed w ith alcohol. We made a drink
with Irish Cream that was "out of this world" (according
to the owners). Needless to say, they now have an espresso machine
as well. I anticipate that I will have at least 3 or 4 more locations
wanting machines as I still have quite a few follow up appointments
from day 2. The only problem I am having at the moment is I am
out of machines.
The program works, the product is GREAT, and the
machines are easy to use. Thank you PBSC for helping me get started
on my new endeavor, and thank you to the entire PBSC for being
so easy to work with. I look forward to many years of success!!

Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, I am writing
to let you know that I am very satisfied with the training I received
from Victor Munoz. During my training week, we traveled from one
end of this city to the other several times over and I really enjoyed
working with him. I found his guidance and patience were key to
our success in placing my machines. He is a true professional and
I would definitely recommend him. I would also like to thank Palm
Beach Specialty Coffee Company for their hard work getting me to
this point. The process went just as Scott said it would from the
very beginning. Joe, Alysann and Danielle have been extremely helpful
since my startup phase and I can't thank them enough. Here's to
a long and prosperous relationship! Tim Hill Houston, Texas
Dear
Mr. Kelly,
Mr. Munoz came on August 8th and after some transportation difficulties, we got
him to Charles Town. The first day we placed one machine. Thursday and Friday
were great! We placed three machines in Frederick, Maryland and four in Winchester.
In fact, we placed the last one after we got Victor to the airport!
We are so
delighted with the training and the placements. All of our placements
are in mid to upscale areas and most in high traffic places.
We were surprised at the places that prefer the
dark espresso and we will order supplies soon. The syrups also
sold well. We have a large amount of follow-up places including
an exclusive remote lodge where we gave a demonstration.
About Mr. Munoz:
We are so grateful to "Palm Beach Coffee" for sending
such a skillful
trainer. His professional style and his bi-lingual abilities (
we are an immensely diversified area) made the presentations smooth
and professional everywhere and also in our Hispanic placements.
Service follow-up will be no problem since my wife speaks a little
Spanish. Additionally, my miniscule spoken Greek also has helped!
Victor's style was more like a mentor than a high pressure salesman.
We have made a friend. Again, we appreciate his immense effort
in helping us get the business off the ground. My wife and I are
looking foward for a long and successful association with "Palm
Beach Specialty Coffee."
Sincerely,
G. Smith

Thank You Palm Beach
Specialty Coffee!
About two years ago my husband was doing underground testing for
a company that tested new and old construction. He hurt his back
on the job and has been on Workers Comp ever since. Because his
company had no light duty positions he has applied to more than
500 part-time, light-duty positions. It was difficult to watch
him through the pain and the feeling that no one wanted him; not
even a phone call from his previous boss.
He finally decided to take life into his own hands and proceeded
to find a business of his own that was right for him and his situation.
He is Colombian, loves coffee and has had many businesses of his
own in his country, so when he came across Palm Beach Specialty
Coffees it all seemed like a perfect fit.
In March his daughter had his first grandchild. She lives in Florida
so we took time in April to visit her and Palm Beach Specialty
Coffees. We were welcomed by Craig Schmoll, the National Sales
Director, who embraced us as part of the Specialty Coffee family.
Then, after his demonstration we were impressed with the espresso
machine, the concept of the capsule for quick and easy use and
last but not least the taste!!!!! We met Joe Kelly ( President)
who also welcomed us and made us feel as though we were making
a good decision to proceed with this endeavor.
Our training was set up for us and on June 21st when we met Larry
Sorrenson from Minnesota. He was a great guy and helped us through
those first moments when you say to yourself “what am I doing
here?” After the first few appointments we were flying. Our
best demonstration was when we went to a beautiful Mexican style
restaurant. My husband is Spanish and the demo seemed more like
a party! Larry didn’t know what was being said but he knew
it was going well!
We are from Connecticut and we do find this to be somewhat of
a difficult market. It is a diversified culture, Greek, Italian,
Turkish, Brazilian, Portugese etc., etc. and they like the strong
flavors. The Yankee Americans are now starting to embrace the Italian
style coffee flavor but milder. New Englander’s are not convinced
easily, so sometimes it takes a couple of trips.
Just some tips we are using to find new leads....have dinner at
different restaurants and see if they are serving espresso, cappuccino
etc...Talk to the management..Have a coffee at the local coffee
shops...drive around different areas to see the clientele.
I can’t forget to mention all the help we got from all the
girls who called all our leads. They were wonderful, and helped
us at every turn. We now have placed 10 machines. My husband would
like to place 25 by the end of the year!!
I also want to thank my husband for his ambition and persistence
through all his pain and to let others know how much I love him!

I have been a distributor for Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC
for less than a month.
This is my story: My husband and I were going over our retirement
plans one evening and even taking into account our investments…We
quickly realized that we may never realize our dreams of him retiring
early unless we found a way to supplement his income.
I went online checking into different business opportunities including
franchising. One very important concern for us was to be able to
maintain the home life that the children and we love and expect.
Most plans included weeks of travel and training. Then I found
Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC.
I talked with Craig and then I did my due diligence… I
checked their credentials and even checked with the BBB. I spoke
to some of the distributors and was very excited about what I had
found, but it wasn’t just my decision. I wanted my husband
to be able to hear this information and to ask questions too. Because
of his schedule it was going to be hard for him to do this (I thought),
but Craig took the time to talk with him on a Sunday! What a Great
Guy!
We decided to purchase the five machine package (but hindsight
we should have bought ten). The purchasing process was very painless!
The president of Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, Joe Kelly, called
us himself to congratulate us on our decision. The machines and
ALL the supplies to get started were shipped right to our door.
The Corporate trainer came to US to do the training! Victor was
such a wonderful trainer, so ready with a quick smile and words
of wisdom and encouragement. We set ALL five machines in one day!
Craig and Fawn both called to say congrats on placing those five
machines.
We even bought three more machines! Vicki has done an awesome
job getting us quality leads. Ken is a knowledgeable and PATIENT
tech. Fawn (lets not forget her) is an awesome lady always so nice
and ready with the answers!
The concept is so innovative and easy.
The Coffee sells itself.
The machine is simple to use.
I’m excited about my accounts.
My customers are happy.
With little hard work on my part, a terrific company to work with,
and a recipe for success… I can only WIN.

I did my due diligence before I decided to become a Distributor
for Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC. As a huge fan of quality
coffee, the flexibility of this opportunity coupled with my genuine
enthusiasm for the decadently wonderful stuff seemed the perfect
match. I spoke with most everyone at PBSC, including the President,
Joe Kelly, and was given special attention to every detail. How
impressive and professional! I spoke with several other Distributors,
as well, and was told time and again how wonderful PBSC is. So,
I went for it.
In July 2004 I started with ten Café Espresso 200 machines, and a wonderful
trainer, Tony NG. Together we placed five and I felt confident to take off
on my own after three days. It helps to be confident, well-trained, and an
enthusiastic people-person in this business…and, oh yeah…it also
helps to be resilient because there are rejections. The machine is not for
every restaurant. I’ve learned over the past few months how to qualify
my potential accounts very carefully.
Always find out who makes the final decisions and talk to the decision maker.
One of the first questions I ask is, “Do you consider your customers
to be ‘coffee-drinkers’?” Believe me, after much trial and
error I have learned that if the clientele is not already what I consider to
be ‘coffee-drinkers,’ offering espresso and cappuccino on the menu
is not going to convert them. I also ask, “How many of your wait staff
will be operating the machine?” And “Are you committed to overseeing
your staff so that they are encouraged to offer and sell the espresso?” I
tell them that it’s totally risk free. However, I do ask for a commitment
on their part to TRY. I tell them that we’ll see how it goes for a month
or two and if it doesn’t work out then I simply pick up the machine.
I have pulled many a machine (with a 3-day notice) when I see that it’s
not being used for much more than a counter decoration. I am very upfront with
my clients…I tell them if they’re not selling coffee, then I’m
not selling coffee…and we both lose money. I do exhaust my efforts before
giving up on an account. I offer additional training, and I make it a point
to ‘touch’ my machines at least once a month. I go to clean and
service (and often sell a case of coffee while I’m there.) It’s
good to be visible. Don’t place the machine and disappear. If all seems
like it’s beating a dead horse, I take the machine back, but ALWAYS on
favorable terms. I’m kind and respectful, and fully refund any unopened
coffee. You never know what doors may open in the future. Hey, it’s all
trial and error.
Always, always be professional. Pick your times to call or drop in. Breakfast,
lunchtime and dinnertime are times to avoid. I carry color flyers of the Café Espresso
200 specs with my business card stapled to it. I have had great success by
just cold calling, and it is more advantageous for the restaurant and you to
do business face-to-face. One of my success stories happened in August 2004.
I was driving home after a nonproductive day of appointments when I thought
to myself…I am just going to make one more stop…I walked into
a little Italian restaurant on a busy tourist strip and introduced myself (with
flyer in hand.) I looked at the menu and asked the owner, “Do you offer
espresso here?” The reply was, “Well…we used to but our
machine is broken.” …..Things that make you go, “Hmmmmmmmmmmm!”.
Well, I seized that opportunity right then and there, demonstrated the machine,
and wouldn’t you know, six months later this restaurant is one of my
best accounts.
And as for the accounts I can’t get for myself, PBSC and the dedicated
staff there help me with many successful leads! Thanks and kudos to Sandy D’Amico,
Sally, Fawn, Ken (the best darned tech ever), and everyone at PBSC. You prove
every day what a great decision it was to buy my distributorship. So much so,
in fact, I recently purchased two more machines. So, I’m growing my business
and doing well.
Work hard and smart, be courteous and professional, and you will be a successful
Distributor!

I would highly recommend
Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC to anyone who was thinking of
getting into the coffee business. I have never had a better experience.
They spend a tremendous amount of time explaining the ins-and-outs
of the business.
Once we made the decision to go forward and form a business relationship
with Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC it was nothing but smooth
sailing. From day one they stayed in contact with us constantly.
Just like their slogan says, “You are in business for yourself,
but not by yourself.” That is the absolute truth.
The trainer they sent was such a blessing. She was able to help
us place all five (5) of our machines. What I really enjoyed about
our trainer was that she allowed us to do most of the presentations.
She got us started on the first two and we did the rest. I thought
that this was a great way for us to get the experience we needed
for any future machines we may purchase. After all, the clients
will be dealing with us and not our trainer.
Upon placement of the machines, Craig and Sandy called that evening
to say congratulations and to let them know if there was anything
they could do to let them know. I felt that to be a very sincere,
honest and genuine congratulation.
All the staff at Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, LLC had a hand in
success. From Fawn who shipped the contract and machines, Sandy
and Jessica who scheduled all the appointments, the gentlemen who
prepares and repairs the machines to Craig and Joe who make sure
everything is going smoothly. This is just an incredible company
that I feel will be around for generations to come.
If anyone is making the decision to get into the coffee business,
it would benefit you tremendously to go with Palm Beach Specialty
Coffee, LLC. There are a few other similar companies around, but
I promise you that nobody else will treat you like Palm Beach Specialty
Coffee, LLC.

One of the best things I like about having my own business through
Palm Beach Coffee is that my money is working for me, even when I’m not working. In other words, my customers are 10 business owners, who are marketing this coffee in their business every time their doors are open. So, that means that I have 10 times the ability to sell this coffee because someone else is doing the work. Don’t get me wrong, there is definitely work involved, however, it doesn’t feel very much like work when I have gotten the “qualified” leads from Palm Beach Coffee. Then, I go and do a presentation. The coffee sells itself! Even business owners that don’t
drink coffee have liked the coffee!! I then place the machine in that
particular business and the owners purchase some coffee, in addition
to some syrups! Like and REAL business, it does take good customer
service to get and keep your accounts. I feel that I have done exactly
that with my customers. Now that the machines are placed, I only have
to work approximately 5-8 hours a month maintaining their coffee refills.
Not bad hours.

I first spoke with Mr. Craig Schmoll of Palm Beach Specialty Coffee back in August
of 2004 about becoming a distributor for Palm Beach Specialty Coffee. I had to
make sure that I would have enough time to work my future accounts before I made
my final decision. In September 2004, I received an information package that
was sent by Craig to help answer any questions I had. Then in October 2004 Joe
Kelly, the President of Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, welcomed me to the Specialty
Coffee Business. Palm Beach Specialty Coffee sent Victor Munoz, a Corporate Trainer,
to my hometown to train me. We went on all the appointments made by the Locations
department at PBSC. All of the girls in the Locations department were a great
help, especially Sandy the Locations Manager. Victor and I were able to place
all 5 of my machines in the first day. I was so excited about how well my training
went and that all of my machines were placed, that I purchased 3 more machines
and hope to have just as good of luck with them. Thank You Palm Beach Specialty
Coffee!
Chris,
New York
I love the support from everyone! From Sandy, who tried very hard to make all
the appointments in spite of all the hurricanes; to Craig, who is always checking
up on how I am doing and to Tony, my corporate trainer, what a great guy! Three
days of training went by fast with him and we placed 9 out of my 10 machines.
He is a great asset to Palm Beach Specialty Coffee. Thanks a lot!

Hi,
My name is Victor from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. I operated a professional dry
cleaning store for 20 years. After 9/11 happened, my business lost over 50% of
it’s revenue. Most of my customers were white collar clientele that worked around
or inside the Twin Towers. A great percentage of these people lost their jobs
and therefore affecting my business dramatically. For that reason I sold my property
and after doing a lot of research, I came aboard with Palm Beach Specialty Coffee.
Why Palm Beach Specialty Coffee? I will tell you just a few reasons.
1) First the investment is minimum.
2) The concept is innovative.
3) No rent of space to be paid.
4) I can work my own hours.
5) I have the freedom I wanted for so many years. Finally I am FREE to do the
things I always wanted to and beyond. Now as a Corporate Trainer for PBSC, I
get a wonderful feeling when I travel when I travel to other parts of the country.
This is something I really enjoy doing. Finally a dream came true for me!
Victor,
New York
This is a big thank you to all the wonderful folk at Palm Beach Specialty Coffee
who helped me start my coffee distribution business in July. Victor and I placed
all 11 machines in the three days he was here. I would like to thank the following
people for this:
Bob Ashcroft – I first spoke to
Bob about the Palm Beach opportunity on April 30, 2004. He spoke
for no more than 45 minutes and sent me a package of information.
First impressions always count; once they are formed, they are
hard to change! I liked his upbeat and honest attitude. Prior to
my conversation with him, I had spoken to a variety of people about
other types of franchise opportunities. Most of these people were
pushy sales types, which did not sit well with me. Bob was knowledgeable
about his subject matter, laid back and a pleasure to talk to.
He answered all of my innumerable questions patiently and to the
best of his ability.
Sandy D’Amico and the Locations Team – One
of the nicest group of people I have spoken with. They did an excellent
job with the leads. The scheduling was great. I was able to drive
from appointment to appointment without any problem at all. The
timing and order of the appointments was perfect! Thanks a lot
for getting such great leads. I really appreciated the helpful
notes written on each lead as well as the time and effort to make
all these calls. I truly enjoyed talking to Sandy and getting updates
on the leads. She is a really helpful, organized and efficient
person.
Victor Munoz – Victor came as
my corporate trainer and left as my mentor and very good friend.
He went above and beyond his responsibilities as corporate trainer.
His professionalism and calm demeanor put me, and all the people
we met, at ease. Victor was knowledgeable about the product and
gave me a lot of information about coffee in general. His presentations
to potential customers were excellent. He gave me tips about the
coffee demonstrations and helped me fine-tune my presentation technique.
One of the appointments had to be moved to 9.30 pm as the customer
wanted his manager to see the machine and coffee. Victor accepted
without hesitation and did the presentation in Spanish, as the
manager was not very fluent in English. The presentation was a
success and we placed the machine. Working with him was an absolute
pleasure and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for all his
efforts!
Ken – Many thanks to Ken for his
prompt problem resolution. I had a problem in one of my demonstrations
and Ken was able to provide quick on the spot support to resolve
the issue.
Thanks also to Joe, John and Fawn for their support at all times!
Preethi
Mr. Paul Humphries, St. Petersburg, FL Placement
Report
Six machines placed successfully. All other locations will sign
an agreement within one to two weeks. Demonstrations given to owners,
managers, and staff convinced them of the superior quality of our
Espresso and Cappuccino Coffee and the simplicity of “Capsules”.
Two Good Experiences To Share.
(An encouragement needle for some)
With only three appointments for Tuesday, had time to “fill
in the gap” and we walked into a French Bakery and did a
demo. The owner wanted the machine but a few weeks earlier signed
an agreement with “LAVAZA”. As we were getting ready
to leave a gentleman walked in and saw the machine and asked for
a shot of espresso. After tasting the coffee, he told the owner:
You must be crazy not to accept this machine and the coffee. Then
he asked us to bring it over to his restaurant further down the
same street. The machine was placed at the “ACE PATIO” restaurant.
At “Sculley’s” restaurant (A humongous place)
we gave a demo to the two owners. They asked a lot of questions
and after being satisfied with the answers and conditions, with
an expression of “Eureka” they said: Don’t just
bring one bring two machines one is for the other restaurant a
few miles away. The other machine was placed at “Leather
Backs” Steak
Restaurant. Both locations anticipate using 500-600 capsules per
month at each individual location.
On Friday, October 1, 2004 I ordered an additional 10 more CE
200 Espresso Machines. Our bank will wire all funds on Monday,
October 4, 2004.
I surfed the web for a home distributorship
business in espresso coffees, found a few of them on the internet.
I decided to contact
each company and requested for an information packet. After reviewing
each packet and
making some phone calls, I decided that Palm Beach Specialty Coffee was the
one for me. As of now, everything they have promised me has come true. From
shipping all the supplies to me, to getting a corporate trainer out to my
location, and have all retail appointments confirmed, and the placement of
all my machines. All this was done in a professional way. Thank you P.B.S.C.
Sincerely,
Tony

I just wanted to let you know how excited
I am about my espresso machines. My trainer, Larry Howell came
out for a few days and went on six appointments with
me and placed all five machines as promised. He made it look so easy. When
I got a chance to do my own demonstration I realized that it really
was. I was
very hesitant to buy my first five machines, but now that I've seen how much
everyone likes them, I can't wait to get the five new ones that I just ordered.
Thank you and everyone at Palm Beach Specialty Coffee for helping me to realize
my dream of owning my own business.
Sincerely,
David
Davelo Gourmet Coffee
When my husband and I decided to look into starting a new business,
we looked at 3 different espresso companies, one which was Palm
Beach Specialty Coffee. Because of the initial investment, we did a lot
of research on these companies and it took us 3 months to finalize
our decision. We have never been sorry that we chose Palm Beach
Specialty Coffee! They have done everything they said they would do and more.
They sent their Corporate Trainer, Larry Howell, out to train us,
and in the few days he was here, he placed 5 of our machines and
gave me 2 more great openings which placed the following week. My
husband and I bought 10 machines, Palm Beach Specialty Coffee gave
us 21 leads with that package that were well researched and didn't
waste my time. (Palm Beach even helped us to place our first machine,
3 days after we received our package and before the Corporate Trainer
could fly out to see us.)
This company still continues to support
us in every way possible. It still amazes me how great they are!
Now my husband and I wish we had not taken so long to do this. The
longer we deal with Palm Beach Specialty Coffee, the more we like
them!
Rebecca – California
Hi everyone, my name is Kim from North Carolina. I am pleased to say that I am a Distributor for Palm Beach Specialty Coffee and I wanted everyone to know what I think of PBSC. They know how to get things done. Everyone is so willing to help. They definitley want you to be a success and with a just a bit of work, you will be. If you enjoy people, then this is for you.
Everyone loves to see the Cappuccino person show up. I chose John Garavante to come to my home town for my training. Well, let me say, I learned a lot about coffee and Cappuccino while he was here. I always went to the mall for mine, but now, I can make it at home. It is better then the mall coffee. John took his time and explained everything to me. When John was here, we placed 4 of my machines, and by machine number 4, I was helping with the demos. The machines sell themselves once you show them how easy it was and that there is no mess from the coffee grounds
Now I say that anyone can do it. If I can, then you can too. I
want to say thanks to John and all the staff at Palm Beach Specialty
Coffee. Thanks for all the continued support.
Kim – North Carolina
Jen and I are interested in ordering 4
more machines. Could you please send me the total cost including
sales tax for this order. Also, if you could refresh my memory of
what all comes with each
machine.
I thought I would mention that we were very impressed with Larry
Howell. His knowledge of the machine was very helpful and his
professionalism was unmatched.
Thank You,
Rick
